Raymond "Scott" Rugg

Raymond “Scott” Rugg, age 53, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 in Gulfport. Scott was born February 22, 1968 in La Mesa, CA to and was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He served in the United States Army. Scott loved spending time with his family and friends and grilling. He could swim like a merman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Jay Rugg and Helen Rebecca (Godwin) Lott; his brother, Jett Tatum; and his sister, Tammy Denise Lott. Scott’s survivors include his loving wife, Loony Toony Marla Miller Rugg; his mother-in-law “old bat’’; his stepmother, Lisa Lightfoot; his brother, Tom Tatum aka Jerry; his sister, Mary Lucinda Chandler; and his step-sister, Monique Alia Lightfoot-Rugg. Scott was a loving uncle to Jessica Garcia, Lucas Estep, Brittany Daprato, Rebecca Castiglia, Ricky Castiglia, Kayli Bealer, Kimber Farmer, David Dupree, Tristan Adams, Shelby Adams, Skye Adams, Jett, Samatha and Cody; and great uncle to Audrea, Marshall, Emily, Matthew and Ivlee. He will also be missed by his pets, Doolittle, Benson and Freckles and his fish. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Home of Terry Burr, 17415 Marion Court, Saucier, MS 39574.
