Reggis Wade Whitehurst

Reggis Wade Whitehurst, age 74 of Vancleave, MS passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was born on June 27, 1947 to Vernon Whitehurst and Kathleen Wingate. He was a native of North Carolina. Reggis entered the US Navy in 1966. While in the Navy, Lt. Commander Whitehurst was in Law Enforcement aboard ships and was awarded many awards and medals for his many years of service to the US Navy. Lt. Commander Whitehurst retired March 26, 1999 at Naval Station, Maryport, FL. Reggis is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Martha “Marty” Whitehurst; sister, Rita Ross; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Vancleave, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. The family invites everyone back to Pine Lake Baptist Church for a gathering following the service. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Vancleave is honored to serve the family of Mr. Reggis Whitehurst.
