Mrs. Regina Broussard Trahan, age 93, of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019.
Mrs. Trahan was born on May 1, 1925 in Youngsville, LA and was a resident of Biloxi for over 85 years. She was a member of Blessed Seelos Catholic Church, a charter member of St. Louis Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society, a life member of the Fleur de Lis Society Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Trahan is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Chester J. Trahan; son, Randy B. Trahan; parents, Edwin and Ester Broussard; and brother, Harrand Broussard.
Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Ann (Billy) Mosley and Rosie Marie (Thomas) Kavanagh; sons, Roger Dale (Sue) Trahan and Michael Trahan; daughter-in-law, Kay Trahan; brothers, Norris (Earlene) Broussard, Roland (Margaret) Broussard and Ray Broussard; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Mrs. Trahan had a great love for her family and her church. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church at 11am. Friends are invited to visit from 9-11am. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will be held in the Parish Hall at Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church following the graveside service.
