Retta Marie Day Cox

Retta Marie Day Cox, age 66, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Ocean Springs. She is now in God’s care, reunited with her loving husband. Retta was born in Vicksburg, MS on October 3, 1954. She enjoyed fishing and crafting in her spare time. She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Stanley Fabian Cox, Jr.; and her parents, William J. Day and Bobbie McNeil Brown. Survivors include her daughter, Carrie (Jason) Cummings; son, Bryan (Dawn) Cox; sisters, Patricia Breazeale; Kathy (Robby) Cook; brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Day; half-brothers Tommy and Bert Day; grandchildren, Eric Jason, Jessie Cheyenne, Michael Dalton, and Jordyn. The family would like to extend its appreciation to the nurses and staff at Ocean Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center and Southern Care Hospice Services. In Lieu of Flowers donations to the Baptist Children’s Home in Wiggins would be appreciated. Services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one-hour prior. Interment will follow at Bellande Cemetery in Ocean Springs. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cox family.
