Richard D. Fairley

Mr. Richard Deveraux Fairley, age 68, of Saucier, MS passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Gulfport, MS. Richard was born on June 22, 1951. He was a man of many words and even more laughs. Richard lived a life filled with excitement and love. He spent most of his years supporting his family as a truck driver. Upon his retirement, Richard loved cruising the river with his wife and admiring his grandchildren. He leaves memories of both stubbornness and devotion; he refused to give up on any battle he faced and he loved his kids unconditionally. We admire his work ethic and strive for his enthusiasm. We will remember his smile and we will cherish the sound of his voice. He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Deveraux King and Dick E. Fairley; stepfather, V.J. King; and sister, Janis Fairley Pittman. Survivors include his spouse, Cynthia Ladner Fairley; children, Ricky Fairley (Suzanne), Todd Fairley (Jennifer) and Tina Fairley; step-sons, Justin Williams (Alizabeth), Matt Williams (Courtney) and Ronnie Manning (Tracy); step-daughter, Candy Manning Hagwood 19 grandchildren, Michael, Alysia, Colten, Easten, Brennen, Everly, Austin, Trent, Brett, Haylie, Aniya, Amelia, Zoey, Harper, Bentley, Spencer, Carly, Sarah and Cameron; 8 great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Halle, Aubrey, Leilani, Jaycee, Aubry, Liam Wylder; mother-in-law, Debra Ladner; father-in-law, David Ladner; siblings, Donald Fairley (Emma Kate) and Patsy Fairley Dingman (Bob); and beloved four-legged companion, Cooper. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11am at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on O’Neal Road. Friends are invited to visit one-hour prior. Burial will follow in Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve this family.
