Ronald Nicholas "Nick" Reed

Ronald Nicholas “Nick” Reed, age 35, of Gautier, MS, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Nick was born in Ocean Springs, MS on January 6, 1983. After spending much of his early childhood in the St. Martin community, his family relocated to Atlantic Beach, FL. He was a graduate of Duncan U. Fletcher High School Class of 2001. Nick served in the United States Coast Guard as a Gunnersmate from 2003 to 2011. He was currently employed as an outfitting designer with Huntington Ingalls in Pascagoula, MS. Nick enjoyed playing video games and loved animals but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughter, Elizabeth, who he loved dearly. Nick is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sibyl Herrington Hebert; paternal grandfather, Harold L. Reed; two aunts, Robin Lynn Reed and Janet Lee Reed. Survivors include his wife, Bridgett Nicole Madden of Gautier; daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Reed of Hoschton, GA; father, Ronald R. Reed and wife Linda of Ridgeland, MS; mother, Deborah Hebert Brochard and husband Jimmy of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Rachel Reed of New Orleans, LA; paternal grandmother, Angelina Lyon Findeisen of Ocean Springs, MS; maternal grandfather, Melvin J. Hebert of St. Martin, MS; step daughter, Nevaeh Skylynn Hollon; step-brother, Tyler Brochard of Ocean Springs; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 6 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11am at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the benefit account that has been set up at Hancock Bank in his daughter’s name, Elizabeth Reed.
