Ruth Ellen Hurd

Mrs. Ruth Ellen Hurd, age 78, of Gautier passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was a long-time resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and will be missed. Mrs. Hurd graduated from Port Jervis High School. She worked for the Headstart Program. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Hurd, Sr.; her parents, Andrew L. and Eugenia Ross; her son, Ronald Jon Loewenstein; her brother, Andrew Ross; and her sister, Catherine Oliver. Survivors include her children; Colleen Kircus, Deanna Reynolds, Jean White and Joseph Hurd, Jr.; siblings, June Brehm, John Ross and Jean Fye; Twelve grandchildren; and Ten Great-Grandchildren. Ruthie’s children would like to thank everyone for their love and support. As per Momma’s wishes, no memorial services will be held. Her children request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ruthie’s name to the American Association for Cancer Research Organization; www.aacr.org. Every dollar you give to the American Association for Cancer Research Organization through December 31, 2019 will be doubled by a generous donor associated with the AACR.
