Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Miller, 65, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017.
Mrs. Miller was a longtime resident of D’Iberville, MS and 1969-70 graduate of D’Iberville High School. She worked at D’Iberville Elementary School, retiring after 39 years with the Harrison County School system. Mrs. Miller was also Teacher Assistant of the 2016-2017 school year and received the D’Iberville Elementary School yearbook dedication twice. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woolmarket. Mrs. Miller enjoyed gardening, but especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl D. and Janice M. Seymour Gill; and her brother, Douglas “Doug” Gill.
Mrs. Miller’s survivors include her loving and dedicated high school sweetheart and husband, Joseph “Joe” Miller of D’Iberville; her daughter, Angie (Bernie) Dearman, her grandson, Peyton Stenum and her granddaughter, Makenzie Stenum, all of Woolmarket; and one very special sister-in-law and best friend, Eloise Gill of D’Iberville.
The family would like to thank all the loving and supportive friends and faculty of D’Iberville Elementary School for many years of friendship and laughter. The family would also like to thank their many friends and family for their love and support throughout this difficult time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woolmarket on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery on Irish Hill Drive.
