Mrs. Marcia Ann "Shan" Hudlow, age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018, at home surrounded by family and friends.
Mrs. Hudlow was born on June 28, 1943, in Hopkinsville, KY, to Ed and Elaine Worsley. She attended Arizona State University (1965) and received her degree in Physical Education. She was a lifeguard as a teenager and later became a P.E. teacher, a tennis teaching pro, a safety trainer for Industrial Services and the Adult Activities Coordinator at the YMCA. Her hobbies included tennis, coaching, yoga, cheering for her kids and grandkids at sporting events, gardening, adding to her pottery collection and making salsa. She loved working at the Y, loved all her volunteers and teaching her classes, loved her family dearly, loved coaching her family and loved her husband, Buddy, who was a good husband and caregiver.
Mrs. Hudlow was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Elaine Worsley, a daughter, Erin Hudlow and her brother, Joseph Worsley.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Buddy Hudlow, children, Heather (Jeff) Flathau and Heidi (Chad) St. Amant, grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah and Heath Flathau and Brady, Parker and Alden St. Amant and a sister, Teresa (Alan) Gubanich.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 28, from 2pm until 3pm, with a 3pm Celebration of Life, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family would like to thank special friends for making the trip into town to visit her, Jan and Pete Carpenter, Judy Cosgrove and Susan and Skip Barrett.
