Sharon K. “Shug” Lee, 83, of Gulfport, MS graduated to glory Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Sharon loved to cook and could prepare a hot meal on a moment’s notice for the frequent unexpected visits from friends and family that she loved. She especially enjoyed gardening and sharing her plants and flowers with others, having a green thumb, she could plant a #2 pencil in the ground and it would grow. Sharon enjoyed helping others and was always willing to give to others in need. She loved her Lord and Savior and drew her strength from her faith. She was a member of Obtaining Inward Light Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.W. and Emma J. Childers; her grandsons, Tony Cuevas and Steven Sykes, Jr.; and all 8 of her siblings.
Sharon’s survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles E. “Charlie” Lee; her children, Penny (Steve) Renwick, Kim (Mike) Collette and Kelly (Bobbie Lynn) Lee; her grandchildren, Sylvia (Greg) Dendy, Jonathan (Jessica) Sykes, Elizabeth Holt, Evelyn (Mike) Ferrell, Benjamin (Gina) Borreli and Travis (Erin) Lee; numerous great-grandchildren; Sharon’s first great-great-granddaughter, Annie Love Northrop; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Friends may visit from 5:30 pm until service time.
