Shawn Timothy Dickinson

Shawn Timothy Dickinson, of Biloxi MS, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 27, 2019. A longtime resident of Ocean Springs, Shawn was known for his quick humor, kind heart and immense love for his family and friends, and his pets. He had a passion for football (Saints), fishing, traveling, automobiles and politics. Shawn is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Dickinson; his mother, Arlene Ruiz; his daughter, Shawna Dickinson Cannon; his brother, Tony Ruiz; and sister, Belinda Zitko. Shawn is survived by the love of his life, Karen Dickinson; his son, Timothy Dickinson; his stepson, Mikey Kelly; his stepfather, Homero Peppy Ruiz; his stepmother, Jane; his parents-in-law, Gary and Sue Woody; his sisters, Kimberly Bear, Aloma Ruiz, Desiree Woroner, December Dickinson and Trudy Hollis; his brothers, Taino Ruiz, Ricky Ruiz, March Dickinson and Lavone Staten; his granddaughters, Taylor, Destiny, Serenity and Shawna; many sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and numerous loving family members; and his protective companion, Saka. Memorial Services for Shawn will be held at the Oasis House of Prayer, 555 Cowan Road, Gulfport, MS 39507, on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Shawn’s Godfather, Pastor Clifford Frisby will be officiating. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
