Sheila Broun Castanedo

Sheila Broun Castanedo, 84, was called home Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Long Beach. She was born in Jackson and had been a resident in her home in Long Beach for most of her life. She loved playing Bunco, gardening, collecting butterflies and loved sewing and making quilts for all of her grandchildren. She was much loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Broun and Joanna (Limmie) McCaughan Broun; and her son, Jim Castanedo. She was the granddaughter of the late Harper McCaughan of Long Beach. Mrs. Castanedo is survived by five daughters, Claudia Meadows of Gulfport, Lynn Follis (Vern) of Gulfport, Ellie Sullivan of Denver, CO, Janet Welch (Terry) of Long Beach, B.J. Campbell (Stephen) of Saucier; a son, Doug Castanedo (Stephanie) of Reno, NV; twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and ever increasing. The visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport.
