Shirley Pearl Spurlock

Shirley Pearl Spurlock, 68, of Biloxi, MS passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Biloxi. Ms. Spurlock was a native of Mississippi. She was born on September 4, 1950. Ms. Spurlock was a high school graduate and employed as an assembler with Ford Motor Company. She received recognition for being a strong black woman. Ms. Spurlock enjoyed gardening and watching the Chicago Bears. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Lee Seay and Napoleon Spurlock; her daughter, Terita Sheppard; and her siblings, Arnette Downs and Napoleon “Bug” Spurlock. Ms. Spurlock’s survivors include her daughter, Lenora Sheppard; her grandchildren, Shaun Terrell Sheppard, DeNeya Denise Allen and Stephon Dwayne Carter; and her siblings, Artist Taylor, Lillie Spurlock, Janet (Freddie) Philpot, Richard Spurlock, Constance (Sonny) Kummari and Dianne (Jones) Spurlock; and her pet, Serena Spurlock. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Select Specialty Hospital and Southern Hearts Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
