Steven Andrew McCaleb – US Navy Retired Sea Bee, age 69, of Long Beach, MS passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 in Mobile, AL at the U.S.A. Alabama Medical Center. Steven Andrew McCaleb is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Juanita McCaleb; and his brother, Billy H. McCaleb. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Jenny McCaleb of Long Beach, MS; loving son, Michael McCaleb and daughter-in-law, Robin McCaleb of Long Beach; sister, Pamela Moore and brother-in-law, Johnny Moore of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Alec Paul Gibbs and Killian Andrew McCaleb; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his precious and treasured dog Peanut. Steven Andrew McCaleb was a devoted patriotic gentleman who loved his country and paid it forward to a person with no questions asked. He enjoyed making others smile by graciously lending a helping hand at every opportunity. He served in the US Navy Sea Bees for 20 years and served two tours during the Vietnam War where he was later awarded the Purple Heart with many other decorations for his service in the military. Steven Andrew McCaleb was a MOSLATY AMBASSADOR of the 32 degree of Shriners. He was a member of Grand Lodge of MS and a member of Southern Star 500 in Long Beach, MS. He graduated with an associate degree in Computer Science Technology. A memorial service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home located at 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501 (Hwy 90 facing the beach) on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a graveside service with full military honors at Biloxi National Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to service.
