Threase Libby Garbo Shows, 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. She passed away in her bed at home with her daughter Linda and her head aid Hannah Carson by her side to the words of the spiritual songs she peacefully let go on the same day as her first husband passed away ten years ago almost to the exact hour. Threase was born on November 11, 1926 in Moselle, MS. She was the youngest of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sloan Stringer and Sally Haiger; both her husbands, Camille “Bud” Garbo Jr. and Louis “Jack” Shows; 4 brothers; and 6 sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Garbo Rosetti; step-daughters, Emily Barfield and Denise Thornton; son-in-law, Clell M Rosetti; step-grandson, Todd Rosetti, his wife and 2 children. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial donations to Pine View Baptist Church, 19 Tower Road, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. A private service will be held in her apartment at Bay Cove Assisted Living followed by a burial at Dixie Community Cemetery in Hattiesburg, MS. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
