Vance Paul Frickey, age 63, died Saturday, November 14, 2020 after a 22 year battle with cancer. He has gone to join those who predeceased him: his son, Sgt. Armand Luke Frickey, his mother, Maxie Chauvin, stepfather Joseph Chauvin,and father, Lerrie Frickey.
He received a BA in Technical Writing. He received numerous academic awards in High School, and was a part of Critical Mass at LA Tech, which won the Engineering Week competition 2 years running. He served as Technical Writer for the Cardiovascular Institute of the South, was sole proprietor of a small business specializing in customized adaptive aids for the handicapped, and performed medical writing for pharmaceutical companies.
