Mrs. Vernie Mozelle Hancock, age 90, of Vancleave, MS, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, in Wiggins, MS.
Vernie was born on November 17, 1928 in Brasfield, AR and completed the ninth grade. She was a housewife who loved gardening and teaching Bible School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Gould and Ruby Anderson Gould, husband, Wilbern Hancock and sister, Estella Pettaway.
Survivors include her children, W.E. Hancock, Charles Hancock and Linda Bates, grandchildren, John Hancock, Donnie Hancock, Tansy Riding, Randall Sharp. Angie Holland and Tiffinie Cichon and great-grandchildren, Lakeland Holland, Owen Riding, Erin Riding, Anderson Hancock, Joseph Hancock, Jordan Hancock, Falon Cichon and Finley Cichon.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 13, from 11am until 12 noon, with a 12 noon chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
