Violet Patricia “Pat” Forehand “Nana”, passed away at home in Vancleave, Mississippi on January 7, 2021.
She was born on April 6, 1953 in Marked Tree, Arkansas and was a lifelong resident of Vancleave, Mississippi.
She was an assistant teacher for over 20 years at Jackson County Civic Action, and attended many of her student’s high school graduations. They were always her babies. She loved camping with her sister and family. She loved music and dancing.
Although she only had one child, she was Momma to many and later, Nana to all of her grandkid’s friends.
Violet was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Willow Rose; her parents, Emalene and Wilber Parker; her brother, William Parker; her sisters, Brenda Dunkle and Wilma Griffith; and her longtime partner, Jack Waltman.
She is survived by her daughter, Velana Forehand; her grandchildren, Ashley Andrews and Steven Forehand; her great grandson, Michael McNaughton; her sister, Betty McClure; her brother, Ronnie Parker; her heart adopted granddaughter, Payton Thompson and daughters Kiera Lang, Susie Redditt and Joy Tackett; along with her beloved pup, Precious.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Vancleave Holiness Church Cemetery.
