Waltraut Lore "Wally" Ewert

Waltraut Lore "Wally" Ewert, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS for the past 20 years, and previously of Swansea, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021, in Ocean Springs. Wally was born in Germany on September 21, 1942, to George and Ilse Brightman. She graduated from Joseph Case High School Class of 1961. Wally loved to donate to various charities and was an avid crafter and scrapbooker. She was also a homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Kenneth Ewert and Michael Ewert. Survivors include her spouse, since 1962, Peter Ewert, a son, Scott Ewert and daughters, Lore Ewert and Inger Ewert, grandchildren, Daniele Ewert, Zachary Carvalho, Alexandra Ewert and Eric Ewert and a brother, Wayne Brightman. Services will be held at a later date in Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
