William G. Reasor

William G. Reasor III, 60 of Gulfport, was called home to God, Thursday, August 3, 2017. William was born on October 27, 1956 in Fulton, Alabama. He attended Clarke County High School. Upon graduation from high school he attended the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) and the University of South Alabama, where he graduated with a B. S. degree in nursing. He then returned to the University of Alabama Birmingham, where he earned his M.S. degree in nursing with an endorsement as a nurse practitioner. William began his career in Birmingham, working as a registered nurse at Spain Rehab Center at UAB. He then moved to Natchez, MS, where he was the director of a Regional Medical Clinic. William retired from the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System as a nurse practitioner in Biloxi, MS, after an illustrious 13 years. William often reminisced about his work with the Boy Scouts and as a deacon. He also enjoyed bowling, swimming and urban style ballroom dancing. William will be remembered for his faith and spirituality, his commitment and loyalty to family and friends and his kind heart. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him. William was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Reasor, whom he was married to for 36 years, his father, William G. Reasor, Jr and step-father, Grover Lambert, and his brother, Bobby Reasor. William is survived by his wife, Linda Reasor, his two sons William G. Reasor IV and Justin Reasor, three grandchildren Jurnee, Jordan and Jaylen Reasor, a daughter in law, Monica Reasor, his mother, Fannie Belle Lambert; brother, Freddie; five sisters, Betty, Ethel, Katrina, Gracie and Berna in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other family members, church members, fraternity brothers (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.) co-workers and friends. A Reflection of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, at First Missionary Baptist Church Handsboro. Services will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church Handsboro. The Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street is in charge of arrangements.
