William "Wild Bill" or "Bill" Edward Sloan, Sr.

William Edward “Wild Bill” or “Bill” Sloan, Sr., age 67, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. Bill was a Chicago native, and longtime resident of Ocean Springs, MS. He honorably served his country as a “tunnel rat” with US Marines, serving two tours in 1968-69 during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Wendell and Betty Sloan. Bill’s survivors include his children, Miranda Sloan, Erika Sloan and William Edward Sloan, Jr., all residents of Georgia; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lynchburg Bar, 1005 Thorn Street, Ocean Springs, MS 39564, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm following the graveside service. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
