Adolph B. “Bud” Mevers III, age 84, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Bud (That is what everyone called him) was an avid tennis player for years; then pickleball as he aged. Of course, dancing was his greatest joy; and he and his wife loved doing ballroom, 50’s, and Bud often got crazy with free style with the others on the floor dancing. Bud was a character and loved by so many. He would never turn down dancing with one of the gals, no matter how tired he was; he just loved dancing. Bud also enjoyed going to yard sales and working in the garden with his crops. He was always doing something; that is, when he was not eating or sleeping (also his favorites).
Bud is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Mevers; 2 brothers, Guy Mevers (Shirley) of Denham Springs, LA and Jack Mevers (Gina) of River Ridge, LA; several nieces and nephews; and pickleball friends and dancing friends.
Bud will be cremated and will rest in Biloxi National Cemetery. Details for a celebration of life will be forthcoming. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport is honored to serve the family of Adolph “Bud” Mevers III.
