Alan Jay Morris

Alan Jay Morris, 57, of Saucier, MS passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 in Saucier. Mr. Morris was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Saucier, MS. He was also a member of the National Audubon Society for over 10 years. Mr. Morris was retired from Memorial Hospital Gulfport after 10 years due to health concerns. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Jewel Morris; his sister, Eileen M. Shannon; his brother, Jack H. Morris, II; and his nephew, Ryan Christopherson. Mr. Morris’ survivors include his wife, Etta Scarborough Morris of Saucier, MS; his father, Jack Morris of Saucier, MS; his sisters, Sandra M. Steele of Perkinston, MS, Jan M. (Hunter) Patton of Lyman, MS and Jackie N. Morris of Saucier, MS; his brother, Donovan T. (Ann) Murphy of Bonifay, FL; his nephews, Channing Steele of Atlanta, GA, Donovan J. Murphy of Bonifay, FL and Brantley Copeland of Saucier, MS; and his niece, Pamela Shannon of Macon, GA. Private services will be held at the Clower-Thornton Nature Trail at a later date. The O’Neal Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
