Albert E. Peavy, Jr, age 86, of Foxworth died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Gulfport. He was born in Marion County, MS, was a former resident of Gulfport and a resident of Foxworth at the time of his death. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and also served in the Army and Air Force. He was a veteran of Vietnam and Korean wars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Ginn Peavy. He is survived by his son, Johnnie L. Phillips and his wife Tammy of Diamonhead; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral service is Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, Columbia, MS where friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment is in Magee Creek Church Cemetery in Jaycess, MS with U.S. Navy honors.
