Alfred “Al” Hise died at the age of 82 on Saturday, February 20th, in Biloxi, MS. He was attended by family and his passing was cradled in loving peace.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Margaret Belle (Adams) Hise; sisters, Georgia Calton, of St. Louis, Missouri, Janet Pierce, Evita Rowland, and Theresa Smith; brothers, J.T. Hise, Ray Hise, Samuel Hise, and Ricky Hise; 5 children, Diane Robinson, Brenda K. (Andy) Ramm, Cathy Hise, Alfred Lee (Cindy) Hise and David Wayne (Charlotte) Hise; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hise honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was an active member of Beauvoir United Methodist Church. Though he was born in East Prairie, Missouri, Al traveled and lived many different places while serving in the USAF, deciding to retire and make a permanent home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Al was an avid (and quite good) golfer, knowing that the secret to good golf was in the company you kept, not the equipment you used.
