Alfred Frederick Brockhoeft, age 71 of Gulfport died Sunday, December 29, 2019 in Gulfport. He was born in the Republic of Panama and was a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA. He previously served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Gulfport. He was a “Master Joke Teller” and an avid fitness person. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
Alfred was preceded in death by his mother, Silvia Castillero; his sister, Joan Martinez; and his brother, Merlin August Brockhoeft, Jr.
He is survived by wife, Libia Brockhoeft; three daughters, Rachael Burns (Anthony), Rebecca Larousse (Steven), Deborah Graham; a son, Adam Martinez (Rebecca); two sisters, Gladys Jacomine (Craig) and Yvette Roggasch (Norman); two brothers, Jorge Brockhoeft (Cheri) and Gerald Sanchez; and eight grandchildren, Christian Elizabeth, Madyson, Mason, Brennan, Whitney, Aidan, Alaina, and Adelyn;and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Gulfport with military honors by the U.S. Navy.
