Alice Faye Gettler

November 3, 1942 — May 27, 2026

Gulfport

Alice Faye Gettler departed from this life on May 27, 2026, in Gulfport, MS.

She was born on November 3, 1942, to Evelyn & Richard Gettler in Milwaukee WI.  Alice raised her children in Watsonville, CA before eventually marrying Joe Page Jr.  They would go on to travel for his construction business to Indonesia, Colorado, Southern California and Texas before finally settling in Joe’s home city of Gulfport, MS. Even though Alice was far away from her family, she quickly became a “Mississippi Page” and even after Joe’s passing, she remained a close member of the extended Page family. To this day, many of them are still among her dearest friends.

Alice was an avid gardener, and her yards and flower beds over the years were the envy of her neighbors.  She was a member of St Thomas Quilters for many years where she made beautiful quilts for her family and friends. Her very best friend was Bobbie Sue Myers, and they would often be found running the roads together, particularly to Belk and Hobby Lobby, all the while planning their next crafting project.

Alice’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.  Leaving behind to cherish her memory is daughter Cyndi Nunez (Rudy) and sons David Myers (Jennifer) and Timothy Myers (Teresa). “Nana” will be lovingly remembered by grandsons Logan Myers (Brooke), Nick Myers (Morgan), Kody Myers (Tiffani) and Zachary Myers (Cierra). Granddaughters Haley Myers, Andrea Zabala, Jennie Ruiz (Jason), Great-Granddaughters, Skyler Zabala, Audrina Zabala, Jordan Bynum, Charlotte Myers, and Amelia Schmidt. Great-Grandsons, Jenson Bynum Jasper Ruiz, Xandar Zabala and Taysom Myers. Alice is also survived by her sister Clare Gettler and will fondly be remembered by nieces Darlene Beal (Mike), Debra Mastella (Pete), and Audra White. Nephews Craig Hobson (Carol), Michael Hobson (Rocksanne), Mike White (Carolyn), Kendel White (Tonya) and their children and families.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Evelyn Gettler, husband Joe Page Jr, her sister Joyce Maple, nephew Allen White, great-nephew Zane White, sisters-in-law Kay Henry and Carole Gospodnetich.

The family would like to especially thank Jose Naranjo who was a wonderful friend to Alice at Carlow Manor. They shared many great times, meals and laughter together over the years. His care, kindness and compassion to her, especially in the last difficult weeks of her illness, will never be forgotten. The Myers family is forever indebted to him for his loving support of her and our family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Rd Gulfport, MS. Friends may gather to share their memories of Alice from 11-1. There will be a short prayer service at 1 p.m. followed by a private interment.
