Alice Aminta Parks

Alice Aminta Parks (née Deoneto), age 73, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on October 18, 1952, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Alice lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Alice was the beloved daughter of the late Shannon Raley Gibson and Rudolf Castillo Deoneto. She was predeceased by her husband, Mike Parks; her sons, Rodney Gibson and Toney Gibson; and her sister, Georgette Hayes. Despite these losses, Alice remained a pillar of strength and love for her family.

She is survived by her devoted children, Tracy Gibson, Alice Gibson, Jessica Parks, and Mike Parks and his wife Madison Parks. Alice’s legacy also lives on through her grandchildren and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.

A loving mother and grandmother, Alice found immense joy in spending time with her family. She was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, whether sharing laughter at gatherings or creating lasting memories during outdoor adventures. Her passion for all things water-related brought her great delight—she loved fishing, crabbing, boating, and swimming. These activities were not just hobbies but moments that connected her to nature and those she held dear.

Alice’s life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her nurturing spirit and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one-hour prior to service. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Alice Aminta Parks.
