Aline Joy (Manuel) Humphrey, 89, of Latimer, MS, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Ocean Springs.
Born the youngest of 10 children, Aline was devoted to family. She loved her siblings deeply and stayed connected with them throughout the years. As a young girl, Aline played basketball and spent many days on the water with friends from school. She fell in love with a Keesler airman, Henry Humphrey, and the two were married at St. Michael Catholic Church on March 7, 1956. Service to others is a common thread when remembering Aline’s life. As a military spouse, Aline did her part to serve by tending to 5 children while her husband was deployed. She was always one to raise her hand when help was needed, whether it was bingo, Cub Scouts, sports or Sunday School. Later in life, Aline would serve the community through the Lions Club, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and church ministries. Those lucky to know her, know Aline loved to host family parties - especially at Christmas - with gumbo, ham, pralines, pies, and all the trimmings. Aline was a parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church and she loved playing cards, po’keno and word games.
