Amelda Jo "Mel" Krohn

Amelda Jo “Mel” Krohn, 66, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Krohn was born in Biloxi, MS on June 9, 1956 to Paul and Lois Bird. She was a graduate of D’Iberville High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Bird; and her brother, Ronald Bird.

Mrs. Krohn’s survivors include her husband, Blaine T. Krohn; her mother, Lois Bird; her children, Amy (Benjamin) Tabor and Blaine W. Krohn; her grandchildren, Delaina Myers, Benjamin Tabor, Jr., Destin Tabor and Harper Krohn; her siblings, Paul (Sherry) Bird, Jimmy Bird, Margie Bird and Linda (Skip) Girten; her sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Hospitality Apartments, 7300 Bertner Avenue, Houston, TX 77030 in Mrs. Krohn’s memory.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Allison Wall and Dr. Susan Abouharb.

Funeral Services will be held at Cedar Lake United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at W.M. Krohn Cemetery.
