Amonda Jean Cheatham

Jan 14, 1956 — Aug 11, 2026

With heavy hearts and deep love, we remember Amonda Jean Cheatham, a remarkable woman whose life was shaped by service, resilience, love, and the many experiences that made her uniquely herself.

A.J. proudly served her country as a member of the United States Air Force, a chapter of her life that reflected her strength, dedication, and willingness to serve something greater than herself. Her military service was an important part of her story and something her family will always remember with pride.

Her personal journey was not always simple. Like many lives, hers held both beautiful moments and difficult ones, chapters of joy and chapters of struggle. She experienced the complexities of relationships, family, and life with all of its unexpected turns. Yet, through it all, she continued forward, leaving behind a story that was entirely her own.

She leaves behind her two children, Aaron and Avena Cheatham, who were among the greatest sources of love and pride in her life. She was immensely proud of the people they became and cherished the memories, milestones, and moments they shared. Whatever challenges life brought her, the love she carried for her children remained constant.

She will be remembered not because her life was perfect, but because it was real—filled with courage, imperfections, perseverance, love, and the strength to keep going. Her life touched others in ways both large and small, and her memory will continue through her children, family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will take place at Biloxi National Cemetery.

May she now find the peace that life sometimes made difficult to find.

She served her country with honor.

She loved her children deeply.

She lived a life that was uniquely her own.

She will be missed, she will be remembered, and she will always be loved.
