Andrew C. Collier

Andrew C. Collier, 68, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026. He was born December 19, 1957 to James and Charlotte Collier.

Andy left behind a legacy woven from hard work, deep devotion to his family, and a thoroughly well-lived life. He was a true family man, and a literal treasure trove of information who always had the right answer, the best story, or a bit of wisdom to share.

Born in Tripoli, Libya, Andy learned the value of dedication early on. He was a pillar of craftsmanship and reliability at INGALLS shipbuilding. He was there until his well-deserved retirement in 2016. His work ethic was unmatched, but hard work was simply what you did to provide for the people you loved.

At the absolute center of his world was his family. He shared 41 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Tina Collier, building a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Connie Melissa Collier and Joshua Andrew Collier. Andy was also the ultimate grandfather, completely adoring his grandchildren: Andrea Collier-Bagby, Ava Collier, Weylan, and Lennox. He was their steady anchor, their biggest fan, and the man who could answer any question they threw his way. He was the guy you called when you needed to know how to fix something or how the game turned out, His mind was sharp, his heart was huge, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Collier; and his mother, Charlotte Sherouse.

Along with his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews his memory will be forever cherished by his brothers, Ed Collier of Henderson, Nevada, and Richard (Sue) Collier of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister-in-law, Linda Collier of South Carolina; and a tight-knit circle of extended family and lifelong friends who will forever miss his guidance and his steady, loving presence.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
