Anna R. Scott, a cherished member of Aldersgate Methodist Church, Slidell, LA for over forty years, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024 at the age of 98.
She was born on April 28, 1926 in Stanley, New Mexico. She became an integral part of the congregation. She was an active member of the choir for many years, enjoyed going to the dinner clubs, and serving as a wedding coordinator. She moved to Ocean Springs in November of 2021 to Truewood Assisted Living. Anna enjoyed singing in the choir, bible studies, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her spouse, Ivy Louis Scott (1995); son-in-law, Gary Joseph Hartmann; and siblings, Robert “Bob” Robertson, Jack Robertson, Lilyan Moix, and George Robertson.
She is survived by her children, Suzanne Scott Hartmann, Steven Mike (Shelia) Scott, and Daniel Louis (Gail) Scott; grandchildren, Stacey Marie (Sean) Sanders, Shannon Elizabeth (Matt) Frost, Lyles Alton Hartmann, Tamara Nicole ( Max) Scott, Daniel Ivy Scott, Leah Dasha (Stan) Scott, Nathan Robert (Kelley) Scott, and Taylor Steven (Gene) Scott; great-grandchildren, Gary Charles Hartmann, Joseph Aaron Sanders, Mason Ivy Hartmann, Miles Parker Frost, Alexander James Davis, Madeline Kate Frost, Samuel Logan Davis, Anna Marie Killeen, Sebastian James Beizer, and Frances Louise Beizer.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aldersgate Care Team, Enhabit Hospice, and Truewood Assisted Living.

A funeral service will be held at Aldersgate Methodist Church, 360 Robert Rd. Slidell, LA 70458 on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
