Annie "Ann" Carroll Krause

Annie Carroll Herrington Krause, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born on April 12, 1933, in Memphis, Tennessee, where she also graduated from high school.

Ann was a beloved wife of a veteran and lived a life full of meaningful connections and joyful activities. She was a lifetime member of several clubs, including the French Club, the Red Hat Club, The Golden Age, and the Boure Card Club. Among her many interests, she especially enjoyed dancing, bowling, and playing boure.

One of her proudest accomplishments was her outstanding membership with the French Club.

Ann is survived by her children, William O. Krause, Jr. and his wife Bobbie, and Robert J. Krause and his wife DeLane. She was also a loving grandmother to Daniel Lee Krause, Alexandra Marie Krause, and Jacob Matthew Krause. Many nieces and nephews also carry on her memory with fondness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Krause, Sr., her father Robert Lee Herrington, her mother Margaret Jordan Herrington, her brother Robert Herrington, and her sister Polly Horton.

Ann's life was marked by her warmth and dedication to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will always be a blessing to those she loved.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff Select Hospital for their care and compassion.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Leggett Memorial United Methodist Church. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park. 

A Celebration of Life will follow at The Biloxi French Club, 182 Howard Avenue, Biloxi.
