Anthony Winston Busby, 40 of Moss Point, MS passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

He was born on March 16, 1983 in Houston, TX. He was a former long- time resident of Daphne, AL but has been a resident of the MS Coast for one year. He graduated from Baker High School in Mobile, AL. He was employed by Midway Baptist Church in Lucedale as a Program Director for Anchor Ministries and was also a member. He attended Faulkner University on a baseball scholarship. He loved the Lord. Following his baptism and salvation in 2019, he led many people to Christ through his ministry.

Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, James E. Luker, and Donald and Helen Busby; and stepfather, Daniel Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Busby; daughter, Avery Busby; son, Mark Busby; stepchildren, Presleigh Newberry, Anistyn Newberry, and Savannah Lyons; mother, Linda Luker Ward of Daphne, AL; father, Mark Busby; grandmother, Bobbie Luker; brother, James “Jimmy” Busby; sisters, Brooke Busby and Whitney Miller; step-mom, Sandy Busby; uncle, Jerry Busby; and aunts, Donna Main, Rhonda Luker Loughary, and Mitzi White. He will be missed by all his extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Anthony’s memory may be made to Anchor Ministries at Midway Baptist Church, Lucedale, MS.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Midway Baptist Church in Lucedale, MS. Friends may visit from 10:00am until service time.
