April Joy Sharp

April Joy Sharp, 37, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Born at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, she was a resident of Ocean Springs for over 35 years. April attended MGCCC Jackson County for 2 years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Sharp; and her sister, Georgia Rausch. April is survived by her daughters, Zoe Alice Slotterback and Rebecca Corrien Slotterback; sons, Dylan Kenneth Downs and October Henry Schmidt; mother, Mary Alice Sharp; step-father, Henry Hickox; sisters, Lurena (Kenneth) Cowart, Corrien (Richard) Dean; Mary Adele (Michael) Reese, Melanie (Edward) Tracey, and Tia (Steven) Brewster; brothers, David (Pam) Prine and Edward (Doris) Prine; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs.
