Arlene Thomas, age 76, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Arlene was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast, since 2002 when she moved here from Chicago, IL.  She was a graduate of Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, IL and later attended Catherin College where she had taken some business courses.  She was an active member of St. John Baptist Church of Gulfport, under the Leadership of Dr. Raymunda D. Barnes, Pastor and former Pastor and friend, Dr. Luther W. Fairley.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Smith and Sweetie Smith; one child, Demetris Thomas; and siblings, Addul Raheem Ahmad “AKA” Clyde Smith, Patricia Stubblefield, Aubrey White, Calvin Smith, and David Smith.

Survivors include her loving 5 Children:  Two (2) children from marriage and three (3) adopted children; two (2) children from other beautiful mothers; Eleven (11) grandchildren; Twelve (12) great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.  Friends may visit one-hour prior to service.  Bradford-O’Keefe funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Thomas family.
