Austin Ellis Brown, 32, passed away on November 7, 2025. Born on December 17, 1992, Austin lived a life full of laughter, adventure, imagination and love.
He was a man of endless creativity and found joy in storytelling and the worlds of imagination. He was the self-proclaimed “World’s Okayest Dungeon Master” in DND. His ability to dream, build, and share those worlds brought laughter and connection to those who knew him.
Austin was a true lover of the outdoors. He was an Eagle Scout, a distinction that reflected his lifelong curiosity, determination, and respect for nature. As a proud Tennessee fan, Austin brought his Volunteer spirit into his career with the University of Tennessee, where he worked in the Department of Lifelong Learning, helping others grow, discover, and continue their own journeys of curiosity.
Austin will be remembered for his kindness, lovable spirit and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Katie; his devoted parents, Misti and Robert; his loving sister, Ashley (Dustin); and many other friends and family members who cherish him deeply. Austin also leaves behind his beloved pets—Cas, Nessie, Bodhi, Zuko, Iroh, and Zumi—each of whom brought him joy and companionship.
A celebration of Austin’s life will be held at Camp Wilkes (Section 3) in Biloxi, Mississippi, on Saturday, November 22nd, at 3:30 p.m. Signs will be posted for parking and directions to the campground. Dress is casual and it is encouraged to wear something that reminds you of Austin. A memorial and final sendoff will be held in Tennessee at a later date, details to follow.
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Austin Brown.
