A.Y. Harper, Jr.

Mr. Alfred Yarborough Harper, Jr., age 86, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, in Houston, TX. Mr. Harper was a native of Jackson, MS and a former longtime resident of Ocean Springs. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked as an electrical engineer in the Defense Industry. He was also a graduate of Ole Miss and held a graduate degree from M.I.T. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Doris Harper, daughter, Lynn (Tamara) Harper, son, Alfred (Guadalupe) Harper and two grandchildren, Isabella Harper and Alfred "Alfie" Harper. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 22, from 9am until 10am, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, followed by an 11am graveside service in Crestlawn Memorial Park. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
