Bernard Lee ST.Amant “Cuz”, 95, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, in Biloxi, MS.
Born on December 11th, 1929, in Biloxi, MS, Bernard was the beloved son of the late Elliott and Neola ST.Amant. He attended Sacred Heart and Biloxi Schools, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to community, service, and family.
Bernard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service, he worked as a barber and groundskeeper for the City of Biloxi.
Known for his love of Biloxi High School sports, especially football, Bernard was a passionate supporter who never missed a game. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and socializing; he truly never met a stranger and brought joy to everyone he encountered.
His contributions to the community did not go unnoticed. Bernard received numerous recognitions, including a Certificate of Appreciation of Faithful Volunteer Service at Biloxi Junior High, Induction into the 2012 Biloxi Sports Hall of Fame, and a Certificate of Appreciation for Volunteering Efforts in the City of Biloxi. He was also named 2015 Education Volunteer of the Year in Biloxi
Bernard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha E. Hunter ST.Amant; his parents; two sons, Noah and Joseph ST.Amant; and sister, Beverly Duke.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Michelle (Todd) ST.Amant Godsey and his cherished grandchildren, Zachary Godsey, Hannah (Lane) Godsey Ladnier, and Lindley ST.Amant. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Rylan Ladnier, Nathanael Ladnier, and Braelynn Ladnier.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Friends are invited to visit from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Michelle and Todd Godsey, 16221 Bordeaux Drive, Biloxi, MS 39532. The family would like to thank everyone at the Biloxi VA who helped endlessly to give the best care to Cuz.
Bernard’s legacy of kindness, service, and unwavering community spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
