Bernette F. Willis

Bernette F. Willis, age 86, of Gulfport, left her earthly family to join her heavenly family Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in Gulfport. She was born in Philadelphia, MS and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1951. Mrs. Willis was Baptist. She was a retired sales clerk at M. Salloum's Department Store in Gulfport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughie Willis; a daughter, Deborah Scarborough; a brother, Charles Ferguson; and parents, Ira and Ivy Taylor Ferguson. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Dan) Sprouse of Pittsburgh, PA; two sons, George Keith (Carol) Willis of Gulfport and Kenny Hughie Willis of Thompson, Georgia; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The graveside service will be held Friday, April 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery in Philadelphia, MS. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home 15th, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
