Bertha Ann Westphal Lane

Mrs. Bertha Ann Westphal Lane, age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Saturday, December 1, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Lane was a lifelong resident of the coast. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and served Perpetual Adoration on Saturdays. She was a docent for the Marine Education Center for twenty years. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, William and Verna VanCourt Westphal, a sister, Verna Dufault and brother, Arsene Westphal. Survivors include husband, Richard "Dick" Lane, Sr, daughters, Brenda Lane, Melody Reissig, Marie Caillavet and Emily Glave, a son, Richard "Ricky" Lane, Jr., sisters, Eloise Armour, Marie Seiler, Betty Stewart and Barbara Larson, a brother, Joseph Westphal, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, from 6-9 PM, 7 PM Rosary, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Wednesday, December 5, 2007, there will be a 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may visit from 11 AM - 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
