Bertha Delois Clifton

Bertha Delois Clifton, 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Ms. Clifton was a longtime resident of MS and lived in Vancleave for many years. Delois graduated from W.S. Neal in E. Brewton, AL before moving to MS. She worked over 25 years as a seamstress at Swingster Co. and at Villa Maria several years before retiring at 80. Delois enjoyed sewing and sharing stories, pictures and memories with her family and friends. Ms. Clifton is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifford Clifton; parents, Jake and Addie Ball; and siblings, Evelyn (Elmer) Thompson, George (Louise) Ball and Buddy (Faye) Ball. Survivors include her loving son, Alvin “John” Clifton; granddaughter, Chasity Byrd; great-grandchildren, Aubree Clifton, Devin Clifton, Alexis Byrd and Britlee Byrd; siblings, Carol (Lige Earl) Overstreet and Annette (Larry “Donnie”) Davidson; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home Sunday, January 7, 2018, at 2:00 pm. Friends may visit one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude's.
