Bessie Margaret Nielsen

Bessie Margaret Nielsen, 91, of Biloxi, MS passed away March 20, 2022. Bessie was born April 11, 1930 to Oakley and Annie Hosli. As a life long resident of the coast, Bessie graduated from St. Martin High School, and after marrying Robert D. Nielsen was a loving stay at home mom and homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oakley and Annie Hosli; her spouse, Robert D. Nielsen; and her siblings, Clifton, Carson, Joe, and Harvey.

Survivors include her children, Gwen Lee and Donna Allen; grandchildren, Meagan Kelley, Matthew Lee, and Christine (Jimy) Vo; great-grandchildren, Audrey Vo, Vivian Vo and Sophie Roussel; and sister, Delores Herring.

A visitation will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 12 pm. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery. Mrs. Nielsen’s family would like to thank the ladies at Golden Oak Senior Living and the Hospice of Light.
