Betty "Bebby" Milling Reeves

Betty Lois Milling Reeves, also known as Bebby by her grandchildren, was born on December 13, 1938, in Sebastopol, MS.  She peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on March 20, 2024, at the age of 85, in Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

 Betty was a dietician and home economics teacher.  However, after her marriage, she dedicated her time to being a devoted wife and mother, and later grandmother to many showcasing her unwavering love and care for her family.

She was an active member of Apostles by the Sea and cherished her Bible study with her sweet friends.  Before relocating to Florida, Betty was a member of 1st United Methodist Church in Gulfport and Ramsey Methodist Church.

 If you knew Betty, you knew she could cook and bake just about anything, and you could always count on it being incredible.  Sewing and creating beautiful drawings were places she expressed her artistic creativity.  Her sense of humor shone through in her homemade cards and memory books, leaving a lasting legacy of love and laughter.  All these things were a true testament of love that she displayed to the people closest to her.

 She is survived by her daughter, Laura Brown; son-in-law, Ted Brown; granddaughter, Mary Claire Brown; grandson, Reeves Brown; niece, Jo Anne Watson; and many more beloved nieces and nephews.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Reeves; father, Clois Milling; mother, Lola Milling; and sister, Dot Sasser.

 A memorial service will be held at 3:30 on Saturday, March 23, at Apostles by the Sea in Santa Rosa Beach and may be live streamed through ApostlesbytheSea.com, Facebook, and YouTube. A visitation will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford OKeefe, 15th Street, Gulfport, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Apostles by the Sea, 6925 US-98, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.

 Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, MS is assisting with the funeral arrangements.  

 Bettys strength, faith, wit and generosity will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
