Betty Lou Jarmon Ferguson

Betty Lou Jarmon Ferguson, age 82, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 in Gulfport. She was born in Nashville, TN and had been a resident of Gulfport for 62 years. She was Methodist. She retired from Gulfport Police Department in 1991 after 22 years of service. After retirement from GPD she operated Ferguson Check Cashing until her retirement. She was preceded in death a son, Jamie D. “Buck” Ferguson, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Scarborough and Taren Carmack; a son, Brian Ferguson; three sisters, Jean Habermeil, Pat Buttozoni, and Sheila Widing; a brother, Roger Jarmon; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday, December 21, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport with a brief service to follow.
