Betty J. Young

Mrs. Betty J. Young, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Mrs. Young was born in Olmito, TX, a longtime resident of the coast and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Irene Pace and two sisters, Orene Sims and Carol Pace and a brother, Robert Pace. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James Young, three children, Kay Beth (David) Thomas, Cindee (Darrel) Holloway and Jimmy (Sheryl) Young, seven grandchildren, T.J., Bobby, Billy, Jamie, Erin, Nathan and Kelden and eight great-grandchildren, Laura, Ben, Hannah, Lillia, Gabe, Hayden, Charlotte and Sophia. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 2pm until 3pm, with a 3pm Memorial Service, all at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
