Billie Joe Starks

Billie Joe Starks, 79 of Gulfport, passed away Friday, August 5, 2017 in Gulfport. Mr. Starks was born in Murray Kentucky on March 14, 1938. He served 7 years in the Air Force. Fishing and his pets were his passion. He was a member of the Seven Hills Baptist Church of Mobile, Al. He was preceded in death by his parents, Courtney and Mary Rozzelle Starks; step children, James E. Spiers, Diane Abshire, Johnnie E. Spiers; and his brother, Bobby Starks. Survivors include his spouse, Mollie Jo Starks of Gulfport; children, Joseph (JoeJoe) Spiers (Sandra), Charlotte E. Daniels (Cuevas), Judy K. Crowe; brother, Ricky Starks and his wife Lisa; sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Starks; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Mrs. Starks to help with the funeral expenses. Visitation will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi with prayer at 2:00. The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
