Mrs. Birdie “Bea” Leleaux, age 87, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014.
Mrs. Leleaux was born in Lafayette, LA and was a resident of Biloxi for over 70 years. As a loving wife and mother, she was always involved with her daughters’ activities. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Michael’s Parish, the St. Michael’s Altar Society, and the Fleur De Lis Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital where she worked for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Seagues Leleaux, Jr.; father, Adolph Granger; mother, Loida Wingate Granger; three brothers, George (Alice) Granger, Dallas Granger and Norris (Clara) Granger; and one sister, Bertha (Wilfred) Theriot.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sandra York (Delbert) and Tammy Leleaux; her loving grandson, Michael York (Melissa); great grandsons, Remington York, Austin Williams; great granddaughter, Jaedyn Galbreath; her brother-in-law, Rafield Leleaux (Lou); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Bea as she was affectionately known could be found working in her yard. She loved being outdoors taking care of her flowers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.. The rosary will be recited during family visitation. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
