Blanche Jumonville Pitalo, 88, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016.
Mrs. Pitalo was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a loving wife and mother and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and doing things for other people.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marsby and Rosalie Jumonville; sisters, Madge Heitz and Joann Nichols; and brother, Buddy Jumonville.
Mrs. Pitalo is survived by her husband of 67 years, Tony Pitalo, Sr.; daughter, Kristi (Tommy) Murphy; son, Tony Pitalo, Jr.; and grandchildren, Brent Murphy and Shannon Murphy.
The family expresses deep appreciation for the care and devotion of the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, Home Instead Senior Care and Deacon Dick Henderson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior to the mass.
